How bad are mosquitoes in key west around early april?
I always remember getting a ton of bug bites in Florida but i think that was in like July when we used to go. If we are going to key west in early april how bad will the mosquitoes be and what bug spray works best? Also, is dengue fever something to worry about?

The skeeters aren't a problem until the rains start in May/June. Early April is superb. Key West is packed with tourists, so don't freak out and worry about stuff like dengue. Just wear a little juice on the exposed parts of your skin and enjoy your visit.

Dengue is something to worry about. The odds of being bitten by an UNINFECTED mosquito is becoming quite small.
The first bite of dengue our body builds up an immune system to that type of flu - the second bite, this immune system actually works with the virus. That is why it is going to take so long to find a cure.
