Does it seem like the Republicans are turning out country into a socialist nation? Or worse..?

I have been following numerous news, economic, and U.N reports over the past few months and honestly, it appears that the Republican party is turning the United States onto a very dark and dangerous path. Some of the reports I have recently been concerned with include:

1. The tax cuts for the rich that were pushed by Republicans in the last few months of 2010, which the Canadian and British economic ministers both said were corrupt.

2. The Wisconsin budget situation where unions are losing much of their right to negotiate (this is occurring in Republican controlled legislature across the country).

3. The recent bill proposed by Republicans in Tennnesse that would ban Sharia law? (I am not a fan of the law but the bill, if you read up on it, appears to violate the 1st amendment).

4. The proposed Republican budget cuts that economists in both the private and public sector state are reckless and threaten to destabilize our economy, since we are still circling the drain of economic recession. They state waiting one more year before making dramatic cuts would allow for the economy to stand on its feet more. I support getting our fiscal situation in check but it is very risky to be making the most dramatic cuts in American history just as we are clawing our way out of a recession that was very close to becoming a depression.

5. The recent action by Republicans in numerous states trying to detain and destabilize Democratic legislators.

6. The recent proposal by Republicans in Arizona to militarize the Southern border, requesting up to 8,000 combat troops and 3,000 support troops.

7. The past bill that allowed law enforcement to profile Hispanic Americans in Arizona. This seems to violate the first amendment and our ideals as free Americans.

8. The situation in Iraq that has cost us billions of dollars and thousands of American lives.

9. Their aggresive stance towards gay marriage. Being American, I like to think that this is the land of the free, and as such..I believe we should be able to love and marry who we wish, when we wish. It seems the Republican get their hatred for gays from the bible..which appears to again violate the first amendment clause of church and state (Republicans have some control of the state so their religious views should have no bearing on the needs and concerns of our people)

10. Their idea that many Muslims support extremists. Also, their stance on the muslim community center in New York. Honestly, I was hurt by the 9/11 attacks but I still support the mosque because Islam, like Christianity, is a religion that is supposed to be free to practice under our laws. They should have the same right and privileges compared to if a christian church was built on that spot.

Again, this is what I have noticed recently.

I recently read in the New York Times that this "overreach" by the Republican party is actually a good thing because many political scientists believe it will result in Democratic control of most of the Fed for many years to come.

The word you want is not socialist, you want the word totalitarianism, that's what republicans want. They wan to take control of the government with an iron fist and pretend that if they give massive tax breaks to the rich; then tax the poor; then give it to the rich (in the way tax breaks), the the republicans will give it back to the poor. Yeah right, that's why they call it voodoo economics. Why not leave it with the poor in the first place. Republicans believe that if they call everyone else greedy then no one will notice that they are the greediest people on earth. They call it the GOP (grand old party) because it is a boys club in reality. Rich white men who only care about women if they marry them and have lots of sex with them. If not they don't even care about white women, let alone anyone of any other race. They are KKK members who don't attend the meetings.

    1. You're calling Republicans corrupt? No **** Sherlock! That's like saying that cars have wheels or that birds are animals, lol.

    2. Republicans are against anything that makes anyone money unless the person who makes the money is the upper 1%. They hate job security and the bottom 99% of the scum that live in America.

    3. Republicans have always hated the 1st amendment but loved the 2nd amendment. If it were up to the Republicand America would be a silent country where everyone wasn't afraid to shoot everyone over everything because they had the legal right to. 5 year olds with sever mental disorders would be given guns for their birthdays. Children would pop out of the wom band into the seat of a tank where they'd go to fight in a war against the worthless brown people and when they turn 30 they could come home be issued their peace time guns and live a life defending themselves from everyone else with their guns because they cannot afford to make use of the super expensive privatized police force.

    4. Republicans only want to cut the budget when people other than themselves suffer. They hate the bottom 99% of America with a passion and never want us to forget it but they don't realize that without the bottom 99% where in the hell would their money come from in the first place?

    5. The republicans are so delusional that they believe if they create a civil war against the other 1/2 of the government then they can control public opinion and continue to be reelected forever. Everything is war to the republicans; war and guns and money; The republicans think about nothing else but war, guns, and money.

    6. Republicans hate Mexicans because Mexicans are not white. The republicans want to make it illegal to not be white. They hate non whites and are nothing more than deeply troubled individuals who fear everything beyond their own front door.

    7. Like I said they want to make being non white illegal but they cannot for obvious reason so they make being non white as difficult as possible.

    8. George Bush stood on a ship with a sign reading Mission Accomplished and the war continued another 8 years, enough said. An accomplished mission to a republican is when the situation is so ****** up that all they can do is wait out their term in office so the next guy can solve the problem they created.

    9. Republicans hate gays because they are uneducated and thing they if gays get married then everyone in the country will become gay. We gave the blacks the right to vote and did everyone suddenly become black? Republicans hate anyone who is not a rich white god fearing christian, and even if you are they might still find a reason. Ever noticed how the most vocal anti-gay republicans are always the ones in gay sex scandals?

    10. Republicans always worry about the 1%. They worry about the rich white Americans and only 1% of Americans qualify and they worry about Muslim extremists and only about 1% of Muslims world wide are extremists.

Republicans are fearful racist sexists who hate everyone but their elites boys club.

Source(s): My source? REALITY! Republicans are realists, hahahahahahahahahahahah! That's the stupidest thing anyone has ever said about anything ever...ever!

Yeah. Everyone with any intelligence knew this even before he was elected the first time. Ive not seen the 2016 movie and probably won't but its premise is true. Obama is a big statist type that hates capitalism and any society where everyone in the country is not dependent on government to keep from starving to death. When you have to depend on government for your next meal, you tend to support the government in power. That's what Obama wants and the US economic system has to be destroyed to accomplish it. Granted its going to be hard for him to do in 8 years, but through executive order he is getting pretty far. Perhaps you should go see the 2016 movie for yourself before deciding that their premise is false. Narrow minded is to judge something without all the facts, which you seem to be doing on that movie. Im not a republican either I am going to be joining the Constitution party when I get around to it. You need to look up this youtube video "If I wanted America to fail". Its only about 5 minutes and pretty much lays out the case of how Obama is destroying America and weakening our economy. I can tell this is a new idea to you so I hope you will be open minded enough to at least watch a 5 minute youtube video before rejecting the possibility outright. So yeah, sounds like your mom is a pretty sharp lady. If the apple didn't fall too far from the tree you will come to understand.
