im trying to find some good indie movies to watch, like those from Anderson or garden state, rather than just plain indepenent films like Texas Chainsaw or Reservoir Dogs. Any suggestions

Watch Brick.
You will not be dissapointed. It is a fantastic film.
Ah, and Eagle vs Shark is a fun, cute movie.
Ah, and Mean Creek is great.
Annnd Special.
And since you like Wes Anderson, you'll really enjoy Rushmore.
