Can anyone recommend any good resources on the history of digital technology in music recording?

Books, websites, online journals: anything. I am doing a lot of looking myself, but since this isn't my field of expertise, I thought I'd see what other people could recommend.

Thanks in advance.

its been a long time since I've read this but I remember it having information about what you want.

Mastering audio: The art and the science, by Bob Katz.

Highly technical, I hope it helps you out.

    Source(s): I've read the book.

Heh. The digital age did no longer particularly kill the age of rock and roll. a great variety of cutting-edge music did. The **** that passes for rock right this moment... do no longer even get me began. besides, iTunes killed the checklist and the CD, and the belief of figuring out to purchase for in uncomplicated terms singles did besides.
