Here in the Florida panhandle I have to shift from cool-weather plants to planning the summer garden around late February or early March. I planted one last patch of radishes on February 24 but, if they don't hurry, the weather will be too hot for them. At only 8 days into March we have already had over a dozen days of highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's, although the last few nights have been cooler with lows in the mid to upper 30's. This weekend I hope to get my first sowing of buckwheat planted. It will be incorporated into the soil in mid April and I will start my corn and peas in late April or early May. I'll start the fall garden again in late August or early September with collards, beets, radishes and turnips, maybe the first sowing of rutabagas, too. Mid-September it will be time for the kohlrabi, cabbage and a couple of lettuce varieties followed by mustard and spinach.
Good luck and enjoy!

Early March is the latest date for planting broccoli and lettuce here in Austin, TX. We have to get an early start because of our brutal summer temps and August drought. Our best growing season is actually fall -- cool season crops go in in September.

That they are good for health, however if you are asking which is better for diet in this instance all vegetables would do well
