flight time it takes?

Is there a noticeable time difference in flights when traveling against the earths rotation i.e. earth spinning away behind you and when the earth is spinning with you? saw an interesting question on here about floating in on spot to travel around the world which is technically impossible but just wondering if the rotation plays any role at all or does it all equal out with gravity?

No. The primary factor is wind on ground speed. Flying with a tail-wind increases your ground-speed and consequently reduces your flight time. And vice-versa. Consider air as a liquid medium and the airplane is plowing through it. The liquid is traveling at the identical rate as the earth. Same for air. The earth does not rotate under a non-moving air. The air rotates at the same speed.
