PRINTER HELP!?! PAPER JAM! (Brother MFC-6490CW)?
Hi, I have the Brother MFC-6490CW printer. It's a great printer however, the other day I fed some loose leaf line paper in it, because I had run out of regular white printer paper. I didn't think this would be a big deal since my last printer printed on lined paper all of the time. However the moment it fed through, there was a paper jam, I'm assuming because the paper was so thin? So the manual told me to open the back of the printer and the scanner lid to remove the paper, which I did, pulling it through that back slot. The paper ended up tearing in a few pieces, but I'm pretty sure I got all of it, I don't see any more. Now however, I'm trying to print something, on regular white paper, and it keeps jamming. Basically, the paper will be fed through, but stop right at the rollers through which the paper has to get through in order to be printed on. How do I unjam my printer? I realize it was stupid to feed non-white computer paper, but I had no idea it was so sensitive. Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially since I've only had this printer for about a month.

You might have some leftover paper blocking sensors that actually cause the paper to jam. Double check to make sure there is truly no paper left.
It might also be that the rollers are bent from the tampering. You should physically check the smoothness of the rollers.
If none of this works, buy a new printer (not worth the $300 bucks for a tech to come fix it).

Did you get all the paper out. it rather is extremely comfortable. attempt establishing the back up and hitting the paper feed button. hazard is that the smallest sliver of paper is inflicting you this headache
