Question about car speakers...?
The two rear speakers in my car have blow, ya know the crappy stock ones, I have 2 subwoofers in the back, and I like my music loud, but if I turn the volume up the blown bass of the stock speakers drowns out the subs, I would like to eventually replace them, but right now thats not in my budget, so I was wondering if there would be any way to cut a wire or something and get rid of the bass in the stock speakers that way I can "bump". I am good with this kind of thing so even if it sounds like I don't know much I pick up fast, I installed my sounds without knowing anything about it and they didn't catch on fire or blow up so I any tips would be nice, thanks! If it helps the car is a '92 Ford Escort 4 door.

1, you can turn the bass adjustment all the way down on the headunit, and turn the bass boost off on the headunit.
Your final option would be to buy bassblockers. They block all of the bass from the speakers, hence the name.

i think yahoo answers is the worst place to ask question on car audio i have heard so much bull **** on here. anyways man your best bet would be to just disconnect the rear speakers if your not going to replace them right away. buying bass blockers would just cost you money you dont have to spend, an going to wal mart an gettin cheap *** speakers that are gonna blow eventually too is a waste of money. just go directly to the rear speakers an disconnect them an tape off the connectors so they dont touch eachother. an i would also take the back speakers completely out because if you dont than your subs will vibrate them an make the raddleing noise like a blown speaker so just remove them.

yeah just disconnect them. but i would go to walmart and just buy a set of 20 buck ones they seriously have a set of 4 or something for $20-$30 bucks and then you could hear your music better.
