Why don't liberals have enough brains to agree...?

"Alternative energy" encompasses quite a few technologies, INCLUDING nuclear. And I think it's premature to say there most definitely *won't* be any new technology. Five years ago, an iPad would have made my jaw hit the floor. Now I barely notice them. Technological advancement is happening at an exponentially faster rate, and I don't think any ideas should be shot down outright. I firmly believe we can do this.

Liberals know that almost no one has any brains or grace that is why liberals are needed. If it were not for liberals the last tree would be cut down to build a cigar box or the last animal would be slaughtered for a religious sacrafice. Humans are very primitive and short-sighted creatures except for the few true liberals that have evolved. If it were not for liberals the human race would have died out long ago and probably still will eventually. Conservatives don't conserve. Conservatives avoid responsibility and guilt by letting God judge for them. Liberals omit that step.

er... why don't cons have enough brains to know that many liberals don't want any of that... and in fact, many have different views on the issues that you seem to roll into one huge "liberal idea"

in short, some liberals don't like nuclear power, some don't like natural gas... so you assume that all don't like either...

EDIT: also, if we use more alternative sources now, it would increase our actual supply of oil by decades as it would lessen our demand, it would also lessen our prices... even though alternative sources can't be used as a main source

Many liberals are for nuclear energy. Many are for natural gas.

But drilling also has a many year lag in pay off.

And... all energy takes investment.

Why not get out of the hunger for oil so we can stop fighting in wars in the middle east. I don't want my son to die for oil. I can't imagine you do either.

I'm pretty sure that they want to begin introducing more of the alternatives like the advanced solar, wind, hydro, etc while still utilizing the old fashioned resources. The kids a century from now will be thankful that we did.

It's that mindset that will keep it decades away. Seems like some are waiting for others to get the ball rolling.

They KNOW that. Liberals themselves BALK each and every "alternative" the instant it becomes viable. CORE to liberal policy is reducing/eliminating ALL forms of DOMESTIC energy production.

Politicians getting their political way is more important than real policies that make sense.
