I have heard that when social security was established (1935) that the average life expectancy was 61, and that now we live much longer, thus bankrupting Social Security. (Mitch McConnell said this last Sunday). But I have also heard that if death in early childhood is eliminated, that our life expectancy is not so different - it is different but change in the death rate at birth skews the data. So, I seek data with sources. Who has it? P.S. I'm not interested in diatribe nor soliloquy on Social Security.

the teacher is back, and apparently went under some scrutiny by the supervisor (private Kindergarten) but now he's back, with no communication from the school. Do I pull her out, with only a month or so of school left this term?

I'm not defending, but I'm also not attacking the OWS protestors. They are described by conservatives as druggies and hippies and the like. Well, why worry? Hippies always go away and rarely bother anyone. Why the angst and defensive posture?

There is a big one in the news today that more than one of the Gitmo prisoners is going through a military trial rather than a civilian one. Perhaps this promise meant a lot to you? Closing Gitmo matters more to me than the process for adjudication... but of all of them, I wonder what promise he has kept and not kept that matters to you.

If there are other factors for deciding on which generator to buy, I would appreciate that, too. I'm a novice at electrical hookups and needs, but I'm in New Hampshire, and a generator is necessary.
