Who has more wealth, the bottom 60% of America or the top 400 wealthiest people in America?
I know the answer is implied by the question.... but isn't that startling?

Sure its the top 400, however that does not mean we can't have a prosperous country where working people live well.
At times in history it has been much much worse. For example in medieval times the top 30 Lords had about 95% of the wealth and the poor peasants starved to death and lived a very miserable life. Welfare? Medicaid? forget it.
It is still possible to live the American dream--IF you are willing to work hard.

And who pays the majority of taxes in thsi country...the top 5% earners or the bottom 50%?

Too bad the people on the bottom are not as wise, hard working, or entreprenuerial as the top 400.

Yes it is startling that there is such a gap. But that's what we get when our government is corrupt as hell.
