Help! Worried about University offer :(?

Hi

Basically I have a conditional offer from my dream University, and I'm averaging above it in grades, so I'm pretty sure I can manage it.

However, I have a problem. On my UCAS form, I missed out a GCSE. My results were A*A*A*A*AAABBBBD, and I missed out the D. I didn't lie about the grade, I just omitted the subject from my form. I couldn't see anything to say this was a problem, and I asked several teachers who said they thought it wouldn't make any difference.

However, now I have found out that Universities CAN cancel your offer if they find out you haven't declared a GCSE, if they want to. I really had no idea this was the case, and I'm annoyed at UCAS for not making that clear.

What should I do? Should I let the University know, and hope that they respect my honesty? Or should I just hope they never find out or don't care :( I'm really worried about this.

I wouldn't approach the university yourself. I would approach the teacher who looks after these things and ask them to do it on your behalf. It is a genuine mistake and it will sound much better coming from say your head of year than from you.

I would advise getting this sorted. I really can't think that having left the D out will affect the offer - it's not like you said you had got an A when really it was a D. However the deception might be the issue if it comes out later that you kept quiet about it. Honesty is the best policy in this instance.

And anyway, you will worry about this until it is resolved and you need to have your mind focussed on getting the A level grades you need.

Speak to your teacher and good luck.

No! There is no point in letting them know. They have offered u a conditional offer and if you meet the requirements of that offer then you are in. I do not think that it really mattes or that anyone will even care. So enjoy the fact that you have had this great offer and work hard to ensure you get to uni. Good Luck x

i surely does not hassle approximately it - i might provide it yet another week or so. have you ever no longer heard the classified ads for Uni of Lincoln? they're promoting everywhere, so needless to say wanting to get scholars. i'm especially confident they ought to replace each and each utility prestige on UCAS - no rely if it reliable or undesirable, so which you have in basic terms have been given to attend Sorry

Just hope they don't care, I don't think they will. If they ask you about it, say you sent them an e-mail, be adament that you did. Go home, make a draft on your e-mail program and then send it to them with a note at the bottom saying it didn't send for some reason. It works every time
