If someone commits murder b/c they know they are in the victims will, will they still receive their bequest?

Update:

Thank's for your answers, I just wondered because you see law & order, CSI, Columbo, ect, where people are murdered because of their will, but I always wondered if they would recieve their bequest when they were released from jail, or even something as simple as using as $$ for defending themselves when they have to go to court

No. Even if they didn't know they were in the will, they wouldn't be able to collect.

It is a law in all jurisdictions that you cannot profit or gain financially from a crime, including receiving an inheritance from your victim.

No. The bequest would be voided by the probate court.

A person who does such a thing would be sued by the other heirs and be forced to pay them out of their own share.

Why wouldn't a person just wait and be happy they are in the will at all. This question doesn't make Sense to me. are you saying they murdered the said person of will? that's just stupidity
