Courtship Wedding Night: No Touching Till Marriage?
I have a strange question. I would like to hear from people who have been in a proper courtship, and have not touched at all until marriage. What was your wedding night like? Were you expected to consummate the marriage right away? Was your physical intimacy instead very gradual?
Thanks.

on my wedding night, we did consumate our marriage...however i have a very good friend who said she and her husband waited until the next night because they were too tired from all the events of the day. she and her husband had never even kissed until they kissed at the altar. my husband and i were a little more intimate than that before we got married though. it is fine and perfectly natural and initmacy is easy if you care for and respect one another. you might be shy at first and would feel more comfortable in candlelight or darkness, but that will change soon enough.

Me & my husband were not virgins on our wedding night. But we didn't engage in premarital sex either. Yes we cuddled, held hands, kissed, always being mindful of Gods plan for us. Yes we consummated our marriage the same day we were married. No it's wasn't gradual.
My advice: Take it one step at a time. Define what makes you both feel special & good with each other. And let nature take it course. You two will figure out what works. Good luck.
