What is the best time of year to visit Phuket.?

Obviously it depends on your availability but the cool season between November and January are certainly the best if you want lower humidity, clear blue skies and relatively calm seas.

Phuket has a different weather pattern(Monsoon) to Samui(East coast) for example.

While November to January are best for the weather they are also the high season so prices and hotel availability are affected. Add to that crowded beaches and you probably get the picture.

I have actually been to Phuket in July, which is in the Rainy Season, it was quite hot and humid, but it did not rain all the time(maybe an hour each day) however the sea off the West coast(popular resort area) can be dangerous for swimming due to the SW Monsoon.

The best time to visit Phuket is during the cool NE monsoon season, from December through March when it isn't so humid, and the cool breezes keep things comfortable.
