Where was anyone when this was reported? Don Obama.?
Obama calls a hit on an American citizen?!!!!!!!!! And this was last year!
So let me get this straight....it's wrong for Bush to hold a US citizen without charge or trial, but it's perfectly acceptable to wack him without seeing a judge.
So yeah I'm all ears at how Obama is far better than Bush.

Simply amazing! HE'S A US CITIZEN THAT HAS YET TO BE TRIED FOR WHAT HE IS BEING TARGETED FOR! I've got some liberals saying that the NY Times isn't valid and others saying that I need to be punished for getting upset over this. WTF? I haven't seen this kind of denial since Germany in the 40's.

You do have a point, although you forgot to include this bit of information:
"Mr. Awlaki is an operative of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, the affiliate of the terror network in Yemen and Saudi Arabia. They say they believe that he has become a recruiter for the terrorist network, feeding prospects into plots aimed at the United States and at Americans abroad, the officials said."
If Mr Awlaki were living in the US, of course he wouldn't be targeted for assassination.
In the case of many Guantanamo detainees, their arrests were the result of unreliable reports. Holding them simply on the word of a foreign soldier or citizen, without trial, is wrong.
Having very reliable information that a person (on foreign soil) is participating in anti-US terrorism is far different.
And, that is still different than the American killing of thousands of foreign citizens on foreign soil.
I think you should lose 12 points for your inflammatory, incomplete, misleading question.

Yep it's true and very scary. Wikipedia has the whole story for the ongoing court case going on.
Now mind you I don't mind seeing this guy getting a bullet. But doing it this way is very unconstitutional. Im sure it has happened in our history that a american has been on a kill list, but don't publish it. When you do you open to constitutional law. innocent till proven guilty?
You will hear more very soon. because the ACLU and CCR have both filed suit. Obama will have friendly groups biting him very soon.
