    I doubt it.

While the movie was a financial hit--it made $319,128,933 worldwide--it was SO reviled by critics and most moviegoers. A movie with such toxic word-of-mouth rarely receives a sequel, even if it made money.

Maybe it'll be 'rebooted' by a different director years down the line.

I read that the screen play has already been written and was just waiting for approval. If it gets that the movie is scheduled to be released summer of 2012. I think the movie was great and I watched the whole series. Most die hard fans never gave this movie a chance and spent more time picking it apart than seeing the good in it. The movie was doomed before it began, if there's a second and third, I'll watch it but they will too, if only to berate it again.

    It's still in discussion.

In some ways this is unfortunate. The first movie was completely botched. It was appalling, atrocious, terrible, every bad word you can find. In some ways it was good, but they left out major parts in the TV series, the main one for me was Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors.

They will be making a 2nd one and 3rd one, as the TV series span over 3 seasons, all documenting Aang's travels across the nations to master all four elements and bring down Fire Lord Ozai.

Fingers crossed the directing, casting, literally EVERYTHING! is improved, because I respect the series and adore it. Shame M. Night got involved.

It's all under-wraps at the moment, and no-one knows if there will be, because of the truly shockingly negative reviews.

    Hope this helps. :)

Well if you had actually watched the freakin' TV show, you would know!

Theres going to be three movies, but the first movie really sucked, they should get a new director.

That was the plan anyway, - 3 movies. They were signed for a trilogy.

doubtful. Most fans were upset with the blatant racism of the casting of the movie. Everyoen else was pissed at the script. And since the director wants to write it, then....

I haven't seen anything so I'm thinking nope.

yeah wikipedia hasn't updated it. Also, I'd suggest watching/buying the cartoon/tv series. It's longer and more fleshed out.
