Technically, you don`t have to have a front on a window bench seat. It can be just that a seat with sides. But if you want a front on the window seat I recommend calling an electrician and have him move it to one side of the window seat if possible. All he would have to do is put one junction box in the wall with a plank plate cover on it where the wire is coming out of the wall. Then he would redirect his wiring to the base board heater. Hoped this helped...Good luck...

just ad a metal or wood box on top of the register to direct the air out the front of the seat then install the new or old register on the wall of the seat. or move the register to the front of the seat still in the floor you'll have to move the ductwork below to move the reg in the floor. last Idea is to leave the center of the seat hollow so the air fills the hole cavity an the put the reg in the top of the seat. you wont get as much velocity this way but it will still move air

Re do your board heat. Put you window seat in then put your baseboard heat around it. Or build it with the base board heat behind the window seat.

Either leave a 3" open skirt in the front, or install a louvered vent along the bottom edge.
