Why don't big teams take more chances on championship players?
With the relative success of Dann and Johnson at Birmingham, Adam Johnson at Man city, Smalling's rise from non league football, why are clubs still buying from second rate leagues around Europe when we have good British and Irish players playing football. Wenger is a prime candidate, he spent a tonne on Koscielny when compared against Dann and Johnson he is basically a pub league player.
And which players in the lower league are worth a punt?
I was glad to see Adam Hammil get a top flight move in January.

I think this summer they will, the prem have spent multi millions on rubbish players from overseas, most of the championship sides have a player or two who is worth a punt at 2,3,or 4 million, even if they are bench warmers, think about how much Man city are paying for their central heating.Just look at who are scoring goals in the champs and who are saving them.It would be good to give home grown players the chance to shine,we need that to re invigorate the home nations sides. As for names just go and look at the team sheets and see what they have done so far this season.

I think its as the big teams dont want to take the risk and see it less riskier buying an international from abroad.
