Will damaged hair turn curly?
Okay, this may sound a little stupid but please don't judge.
My hair is naturally really straight, but for some reason, some ( almost half ) of the hairs are curly or wavy.
And because of this, after I wash my hair, it turns EXTREMELY puffy and I absolutely hate it.
Is this due to damage? I think I damaged my hair by washing it too often.
Can damaged hair turn wavy or curly? Or is this just genetics or puberty as I grow up?
I'm Asian, if that helps.
Thanks for your answers! (:

It may be both genetics and puberty. I had pin straight hair until 12 when I hit puberty. Slowly over about a year my hair turned curly just like my mom my aunts on both sides dad grandma. To help the curl let your hair grow. The weight will help make it less frizzy and annoying. You also need to find products made just for curly hair. There are many different ones so mix and match to fit your hair.

My hair was straight as could be when I was little. After I hit puberty and got my period it started to get wavy and darker.. (it was also so blonde it was white)..Now I am 19 years old and my hair is pretty curly and thick. Sometimes I hate it but I've grown to love it because I can not only just gel it up and leave it curly or wavy, I can also straighten it and have some body..instead of it just it lying flat and boring. I'd embrace it! :)
