A home workout I can stick to for the summer?
I'm 15, 5'4" and around 140 lbs. I've been really cutting back on junk foods, and I keep a weight journal so some days I'm a few pounds less and then it'll just go right back up. I'll be in gym classes next year, but I need something for the summer. I almost never hang out outside, especially not on my own, because for one- I'm not crazy about hanging out with my friends, and I also think it'd be kinda embarrassing to go around on walks with my workout gear when so many younger people live in my neighborhood. I give up on basically every workout. Right now, I'm trying to firm up my butt and tighten my stomach a little. I stay home every day, so what is something I could do every day that is easy enough but will show results after so many weeks?
Or better... what kind of basic class can I sign up for at the Y that would help?

Hi, given what you've stated about not hanging out outside and wanting to firm your butt and tighten your stomach. I would suggest Brazil Butt Lift. It's fun and the workouts change daily so do don't get bored with the same old routine. This workout gives you a total body workout on some days and others just focuses on the Backside and Abs. You can workout at home. The best part is when you stick with it and you do decide go out or better yet when you go back to school your friends will be amazed.
It is possible to get in the best shape of your life by working out in the comfort of your home. I did it with P90X for 90 days and used Brazil Butt Lift (BBL) after (because BBL hadn't been released until after I did P90X had Brazil Butt Lift been released I might have done that one first). I digress.
Anyways, ma'am For your goals I'd suggest ordering Brazil Butt Lift aka BBL You can roll out of bed first thing in the morning, not have to worry about getting glammed up etc. before making a debut at the gym or for a walk out doors.
Working out in the morning makes you feel good throughout the day, the best part is you get your workout in and over with. And who knows with all that extra energy and feel good you may feel like going out more with friends, and in the evenings you just might feel like going out for a nice relaxing walk.
I think it's great you're making a lifestyle change and cutting out the junk food. A lot of people who start off eating junk food end up paying for it in the long run. I'm so proud of you.
To get ya started before you get Brazil Butt Lift because shipping takes a week or two visit your local library (check online or call first) and see if they have any of these 3 dvds to get a jump start as these will melt fat quick because they are interval/circuit workouts.

Here is a Sample workout I've created if you can't get any of the DVD's within the next day or two. Check with your parents and Doctor first to see if it's ok for you to do this if you want to do it!
Do all 7 exercises in a row rest about 60secs and then Repeat the 7 exercises in a row rest 60 seconds and Repeat one last time for a total of 3 circuits. Track your workout. Make notes. Since this is your first rest 20- 30 seconds between each exercise or as needed.
1.Pushups as many as you can in One minute
2.Jumping Jacks One minute
3.Crunches as many as you can in One minute
4.Jump Rope or Simulated Jump Rope for one minute
5.Lying down buttlifts (get in the sit up position lift butt up and down for one minute watch your back if you feel any discomfort stop)
6.Run in place one minute w/heels touching butt
Scissors (lay down back on floor lift feet about 12 inches from the floor and cross legs one over the other 7. 30 seconds)
