Anybody from Ottawa out there? I'm looking for some fun things to do when I visit?

Me and my friend are going to Ottawa this summer, probably in June. Neither of us have ever been there and we're looking for some fun things to do during the duration of our trip.

We're both 17 so we wont be legal there. We like to go to raves, go shopping, whatever. Some underground stuff (lesser known not literal) would be cool.

But anything thats fun or cool to do int OTTAWAAA.

Thanks!!

    Hello,

Hope you have fun in Ottawa, the capital of Canada!

    Here are some attractions:

    1. The museum of civilization

Discover the wealth of Canada's culture as you travel across 1,000 years of history through life-size reconstructions. Get acquainted with some of the remarkable individuals who have shaped our nation, and explore the traditions and achievements of its First Peoples.

    2. Canadian War Museum

The new Canadian War Museum is a major national museum of military history, covering Canada's military past from earliest times to the present day.

    3. ByWard market

Go shopping, browse through boutiques and galleries, listen to street musicians, sit and enjoy a coffee and relax awhile in the colourful and historic ByWard Market.

    4. Lansdowne Park

Lansdowne Park caters to an endless variety of events from trade and consumer shows to spectacular family shows and rock performances; from junior hockey to community events; from national and international competitions to the annual SuperEx.

    5. National Gallery of Canada

The National Gallery of Canada is a visual arts museum of international stature. Located in one of the most spectacular sites in Ottawa - along Ottawa's historic ByWard Market

    6. Gatineau Park

A haven for outdoors lovers in every season, Gatineau Park lies north of Ottawa. It's a place where couples can go biking, hiking, canoeing, and even pitch a tent in warm weather. Come winter, it's a major attraction for skiers. Whether you fancy snowshoeing, cross-country or downhill skiing, there's a trail or slope for the two of you.

    7. The Fairmont Chateau Laurier

Even if you don't overnight at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier, the castle-like hotel next door to Parliament Hill, it's still worth stopping by. This landmark has been welcoming celebrities, politicians, and couples in love for close to a century. Pause between your visits to other Ottawa attractions to have a proper afternoon tea in Zoe's lounge or a genuine gourmet meal in Wilfrid's restaurant. Afterwards, linger in the drawing room, where iconic portraits of Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein, Georgia O'Keeffe, and other twentieth-century giants shot by renowned photographer Yousuf Karsh (a longtime resident of the hotel) hang in gratitude.

    8. The Royal Canadian Mint

Located next to the National Gallery of Canada, the Royal Canadian Mint is one of the world's most respected manufacturers of collector and commemorative coins, gold bullion coins, medals and medallions.

    9. Canadian Museum of Nature

Canada's national natural history museum presents all-new exciting galleries in its renovated west wing. Take a 50-million-year journey in the Talisman Energy Fossil Gallery and discover dramatic events that led to the end of the dinosaurs and rise of mammals. See Canadian mammals up close in beautiful dioramas in the Mammal Gallery. Observe hundreds of specimens in our bright and appealing Bird Gallery. The Discovery Zone offers high-definition cinema and daily special programmes for everyone.

    10. Canadian Aviation Museum

Housing one of the finest collections of aircraft in the world, this museum traces aviation history and features over 115 actual planes and full-size replicas.

    11. Parliment Hill

Three Gothic Revival-style buildings, located on a 170-foot bluff overlooking the Ottawa River, house the offices of the members of Parliament, the House of Commons and the Senate. Free guided tours delve into Canadian history and explain the workings of the political system.

    12. Canadian Science and Technology museum

This museum allows you hands-on interaction with science and technology exhibits, featuring marine and land transportation, astronomy, communications, space, domestic technology and computer technology.

    13. Rideau Center

Ottawa's premier shopping destination located in the heart of downtown!

    Have fun! Hope this helped!
