Outlook Express Draft ... how do I add to my message?

I opened Drafts to complete my letter but can't type on the page and can find nothing under 'Help' to explain how to do this. I would be most appreciative to anyone who can explain this to me in a very elementary fashion ~ thank you!

    If you have the draft message open, you should be able to edit it. To open the message, double click on it. From there you should be able to edit it accordingly.
