If there is only one path to happiness it would not be ignorance. Perpetual consciousness would enable life experiences to pass through the consciousness before being released. @Jonathan, just because there might be a life after death doesn't mean we should believe in something. what you are stating is basically pascals wager. he said that we should believe in god because if he is real then we go to heaven and all that nonsense, and if he isn't, there really isn't a big downside to it. To believe in something just because "there may be a life after death" is hogwash. As for the original question, id say keep questioning, because the answers are out there, it just may take your entire life to find an answers, good luck!

it is always better to continue questioning. on the other hand people committed suicide because they questioned too much. that is why athiesm goes against logic, because, what if there is life after death?
