What is the best [ easiest] way to get thin set off a cement floor ?

    If its alot it has to be dabbled off , this is a machine you can rent from a rental yard.

    It depends on how big the area is that you have to remove. 1. small area, hammer and steel chisel. 2. Bigger area, buy a cheap hand grinder and grind it down. 3. big area , rent an electric chisel and go after it. You can buy an electric grinder from Harbor Freight on line for about $20. Be prepared for dust.

    Rent an electric impact chisel, hang some plastic sheeting over door openings, cover any cold air return grills, wear eye and hearing protection, and shave it off with the tool.
