When do you expect the first widespread shortages of food throughout the US?

My guess is that it will be as early as 2013 but no later than 2015.

    It's weird because I can see where it could happen and yet I think it never will happen.

    So I'm not sure what to think.

    If we don't do anything about climate change, it should happen in the next 150-200 years. 50 years would be a respectable guess, but 2015 is just absurd.

    Hard to calculate other than to use the gradual fall of the dollar/energy ratio.

    Any farmer can tell you how closely food production and energy prices are tied.
