Cons: what would you have said if Obama had instructed the US delegate to veto the Libyan no-fly zone?

Also, what would you have said if we'd abstained like Russia and China did?

    I am supportive of the efforts against Qaddafi and welcome what the president is doing through the UN.

    Personally I would have been upset at either because it would signify that the U.S. was not committed to playing an active role in this potentially watershed moment of Arab politics. For the first time ever there is a viable alternative to dictators and Islamist movements.

    If we had vetoed, it would have likely led to the deaths of tens of thousands in Eastern Libya and may have destabilized newly freed Egypt. If we had abstained, it would have severely weakened the no fly zone and possibly have derailed its implementation and may have persuaded Russia and China to veto.

    Those Republicans and conservatives that are against the current no fly zone are being hypocritical I think. If there were no fly zone, they'd likely be the first ones lobbying for one. Sure, I would have liked if the no fly zone was implemented a few weeks ago, but it is better late than thousands dead.

    I would have said that the man was crazy. After saying that Qaddafi had to go, he goes ahead and blocks a no-fly zone.

    Con do not really care what happens one way or another. I am going to stop answering their questions. I suggest we all do that. They are either too dumb or brainwashed. It is better to just dwerb on the issues of supporting the recalls for the Repub. governors. I have been very busy with that and the progress made is amazingly great.

    OK with me, but what happened to sit and talk that Obama is so renowned for, I don't remember Obama flying to Libya or asking Qaddafi to come over here to talk about this, what's up with that, now the Arab League suckered Obama into bombing Qaddafi, without a commitment from them FIRST, then the Arab League comes out today against the WEST bombing Libya, welcome to Foreign Policy 101, Mr. Obama, you have been HAD, by the oldest trick in the book*******************************************************************************

    I'm a Libertarian, not a conservative and I would have supported him completely. What is happening in Libya is none of our business and we should not be involved.

    Since I have always been against the war in Iraq, I would continue to hold the position we should mind our own boarders.

    To answer your question;

    Good, wasn't it you liberals who said we should never get involved with civil wars over oil...

    The same thing they're saying now. "Obama is a terrible leader, he's a muslim, he hates America/Israel/democracy etc."

    The only change would be instead of calling him a warmonger, they'd compare him to Neville Chamberlain.
