  • I had mine removed late November. I found out I was pregnant in August of the next year. Roughly eight months is how long it took for us to conceive. This is baby number two for us as well. I have a four year old already.

I didn't have the Implanon removed because of bad side effects, but because it actually broke in my arm. Another thing is that there were no studies on obese women and how long it actually lasted on them. They say that its good for three years but I believe that in my second year I became pregnant twice and miscarried.

I've heard that Implanon is no longer a form of birth control but so many people still have it. I don't know if it's true or not. . but I do hope that they take it off the market until they can do some more research. Imagine waking up in the morning to see a stick protruding out of your arm with green puss all around. Then just hours later feeling like your whole arm is about to fall off because of the pain but your OB can't schedule you in until the next day. Even the emergency room wouldn't remove it because they weren't "trained". UGH!

It’s common sense: the healthier you are, the more likely you are to get pregnant. Try to do whatever you can to improve your chances of getting pregnant. Learn here https://tr.im/eNIkc

If you are overweight, try to lose some and get to a healthier weight. Eat a healthy, well balanced diet, and exercise as often as possible. Don’t smoke, don’t drink, and of course, don’t do drugs. Try to avoid stressful situations, and keep things as calm as possible. Do whatever you can to keep everything as cool as possible. This will give you the best chance to get pregnant.
