Big Grapefruit-sized clots?

I'm 18, married and started on birth control last month because i want to regulate my period. Its name is Loestrin 24.

For the past two days I've been passing BIG clots and I don't know why. I'm freaking out. I have had clots before but they were dime sized, you know? I go through an OVERNIGHT pad in two hours or less. I don;t know if something is wrong with me or if It's because of the pill. Sometimes I have alot of pain from my pelvic area and sometimes just a little. So please if anyone has any thoughts on what it is or suggestions on what I should do please answer.

I have never been pregnant or had an abortion or miscarried or anything like that. Please help

It is most likely your birth control. It may not be the right one for you. You definitely need to talk to your doctor about switching to something else. It is very common to try a few before you find the best fit. The doctor has always told me that as long as you are not bleeding through one of those pads in less than 30mins, that you are not losing too much blood. However, if that does occur, call your doctor IMMEDIATELY. I do hope this helps you. Good luck and best wishes!

call your doctor as soon as they open and make an appointment with them....

you never know what it could be doing to you.

I was on birth control and it messed up my periods bad ( i havent taken it for over two years) and still have the problem ....i am now on pills for it that i will have to be on if i want a half normal period.

dont wait around on here for possible causes....call your doctor now
