Could Adolf Hitler be in Heaven?

The criminal on the cross being crucified next to Jesus in Luke 23 asked for Jesus to forgive him. Jesus said, "I tell you, THIS day you will be with Me in paradise."

Now, this criminal wasn't baptized, no telling how many and how horrific were his sins, maybe never attended formal worship, maybe never even read the scriptures... and yet, Jesus forgave him and saved him on the spot.

So, if Adolf Hitler, in his bunker, with gun in hand, asked from his heart for Jesus to forgive him, is Adolf Hitler in heaven? And just how do you really know that he isn't??

Update:

I disagree with the suicide comment. Suicide is a sin. Jesus died for ALL sin. The only unforgivable sin is to know the Holy Spirit and to turn your back upon Him forever.

Baptism doesn't saved. If Hitler truly did ask for forgiveness and admitted he was a sinner in need of a savior AND repented, then yes, he would be in Heaven. But we won't know if he is there until we go there ourselves and see for ourselves.

Yes, I believe all the bad things that happen to us are for our higher good. Even when we have a loved one die they don't die. They just leave the physical. So we do what we are here to do & before we leave the body.

If a person has an abusive mother they may grow up to be compassionate because of her. They could also grow up understanding what it is like to be really crazy either way the story goes on & on so we are just hear to experience the story.

So Hitler represented something for us all to learn from. How could what happened happen? We must learn from it. I know in the USA the Jewish people are the most successful & a study just showed the happiest people. So did what Hitler do make the people alive today stronger. They have to be strong cause they came from families that had to be strong.

We just don't know the effect & even when it is bad it is just something we have to change our mind about if we can & learn from & when we do we are much more successful.

If Adolph Hitler genuinely repented and asked for Christ's redemption.God. according to His divine promise would allow a forgiven Hitler into Heaven. Some theologians, however would argue as to whether or not suicide would be forgiven or if suicide would indicate a lack of saving faith.

And let us not forget that the Jewish religion does not contain a concept of Hell. This provides an extra level of frustration in the ability to process the atrocities of the Holocaust. There is no outlet to have the "peace of mind" that Hitler is suffering eternal damnation when one does not believe anybody suffers eternal damnation.

Surely God in his infinite wisdom and love could forgive and only him because he mad the ultimate sacrifice for us, but remember his greatest gift to us is our free will so providing that Hitler is firstly accepting that God is our maker and truly being sorry for your sins and repenting

As hard as it is to accept given what Hitler done if he repented and accepted God as his Saviour I think he would have been saved

    Thought provoking eh!

If you believe in heaven/hell then its something you won't want to admit, but is in fact the case. By the bible he could have asked for forgiveness and been forgiven, many criminals the same way could have the same fate when asking for forgiveness, but thats if you believe in heaven/hell.

Oh course Uncle Adolf's in Heaven - he had lots of money - and in our world, if you have lots of money it means that Jesus likes you more. Jesus hates poor people and stuffs them into Hell by the boxcar load.

But Billionaires and the republicans who feed them ALL end up in Heaven.... Ummmm - all-you-can-eat Buffets!!!

If he repented of his sins before he died and asked Jesus to be Lord of his life then yes he is. Paul helped kill lots of believers and look how he turned out.

There is more joy in Jesus in one day.

Than there is in the World 365/24/7

I know, I tried them both.

Yep, according to scripture. Also according to scripture the poor Jews he rounded up and killed are burning in eternal hell on top of being holocausted. Good job God!
