Mayo on a cheese steak sandwich?
I'm going to attempt to make cheese steak sandwiches for the first time tonight. I'm going to try using this recipe:

Do you think it would taste good with mayo instead of cheez whiz?

It calls for cheese for a reason. You should have mayo available on the side if you decide to add it after you have tasted the final product.

Any meat or cheese sandwich needs mayo to be made available on the table. Make all condiments available so anyone can choose what they want.

Outstanding! I would add a drizzle of Italian dressing, & instead of Cheez Whiz melt some Provolone cheese on it. But it will be great just as you describe it.

Mayo would be just fine. I tried it with horseradish mayo and although it was a bit spicy ( i put a bit too much on) it was really good that way too.

I have had them both ways. I preferred them with cheese. Like I said though, good both ways. Happy nom-noming.

It would probably taste good to some, but not to me.
