How do I clean my cat's ears if they're infected?

My cat got into a fight with my dog and he bit the cat's ear... It's starting to look a bit infected. Anyway to treat it (without going to a vet)?

you need to get some oral antibiotics. topical is more for a scratch or a bug bite not a dog bite. plese find a way and have your cat seen, some places would do it minus office call and would be pretty cheap

Use hydrogen peroxide and then a 2% saline solution for seven days afterword. You can use a topical cream for infection during that time, but you do not need to. A cat will naturally clean its own wounds. The only reason to worry would be if the ear was ripped or otherwise torn off.

I use Q Tips to clean in my cats ears. I have to do this more on my older cat. His seem to get dirtier faster than the younger one.

If your cat has infection in or on his ears , you might want to get it to your local vet for treatment. Make sure you clean this wound first to get off any germs.

you have to go to a vet to get the stuff to clean out his/her ears. Or your cat will be hurting for a long time.

Use the same stuff you would on your own ear, it's all tested on them anyways.
