Does God know the future?

It seems to me that if the future could be known, then I cannot not do anything that is not already fated. If I cannot not do something, how can I be held responsible for it? And if I am not responsible for it, then I have not sinned and do not need Jesus to die for me. If you think that God does not affect the future, then, isn't today yesterday's future that God does not affect?

No, I don't think he knows the future. He knows the paths and outcomes that can occur, but not a definite plan.

God is Almighty. Words cannot explain who God really is. Yes he knows the present, the future and he was here when nothing else was. God is just awesome. There is none like him and never will be because he created all that is.Have you heard about amy 21, 2011 being Judgment day? Yes this is the biblical day the Lord will destroy this world finally. This is going to happen.

We are only 1 month and 27 days away before Christ return. Now is the day of salvation. Now God will have mercy on those he will have mercy. Pray for the Lords mercy. We are so close to the time where there will be no more mercy. If it be his will he wil have mercy. This is going to happen. Learn more at ebiblefellowship.com and wecanknow.com and familyradio.com.

God knows all things past, present and future. The question, obviously isn't as much about what God knows as it is about who is responsible. God does know the future, but that doesn't restrict the means. God can choose to intervene as much as he wants but we do have a choice.

For example, God promised Abraham a son, but due to his wife's unbelief or misunderstanding of that he slept with her servant and had a son. But God later had to explain to them the means of which this son was to be born. They then had to choose to sleep with each other in order to fulfill that promise, but that was their choice. If it had been fate that the son would be born anyway then God would not have had to explain to them the means by which he chose. It was up to them to choose his way, or their own, just like Adam and Eve.

There are many examples, Joseph said to his brothers, 'What you meant to harm me, God meant it for good.' Although there are many choices along the way, God is ultimately in control. There are boundaries, limits or an area in which you are free to choose.

Another example could be, one day you will die. That is a limit to your life, that is a boundary. But the means by which you die may vary. The end result will always be death but the means can change through choice. If a person had cancer, that may be the means by which they will die, but then they could choose to take their own life. The result is the same but the means have changed. God knows it all before it happens, every thought and every choice. But he has given us responsibility within certain boundaries.

    I hope that helps.

If God is all knowing or omnipotent, then yes, God would have known exactly everything about you and your entire life before He ever created the world. In other words, yes, you have drawn a reasonable conclusion as by deciding to create this world God knew that you would or would not be "saved" - He could have just as easily created you and sent to heaven or hell with no real difference.

Yes, God know the future, present and past.

However, He gives us free will. Our lives are not predestinated in that He has planned out everything for each of us.

He knows the choices we will make before we ever make them, but make us choose those things.

It like you are on top of a cliff, looking down at a winding road. You see 2 cars approaching one another coming in opposite directions. One of the cars decides to speed around a slow car in front of him. You can see that if he does this, he will have a head on collision w/ the oncoming car. You can see it happening, you know it will happen, but you didn't cause it to happen.

We choose our own way, but we will pay for those decisions w/ eternity.

    Choose wisely!

God definitely knows the future and He knows the choices we will make, but we are still responsible to make the right choices-this is why He gave us all free will and did not make us robots. So, yes, we will be held accountable for our sins, and on our own, we can't do enough to atone for them. So, we have two choices:

1.Take the punishment ourselves, which is eternity in hell, or

    2. Accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and let him take the punishment for us.

    It's your choice.

Men's free will will determine the future. God has no control over a persons free will. God guides those who listen to him.

Prescience- Knowledge of events before they take place.

Knowing exactly how a person will respond in any given situation does not constitute interference or limit responsibility. It is not fate.

God is more of an authority figure, I have a saying that i commonly use to tell anyone, and that it "Fate is your creation." Every little thing you do in your everyday life will effect you minorly, majorly, sooner, or later.

    Hope this helps. :)
