i have a question about pushups...?
i had a c-section and have finally started doing push ups. my core is finally starting to get strong again....i can do push ups on my knees with the push up bars which allow me to go deep...almost touching my Head on the floor. i can just barely do push ups with straight legs. my goal , of course is to do them with straight legs (on my toes). i can bend my arms a little but cant go as deep as i can on my knees. so my question is...which is better? is it better to go further down while on my knees or go a little bit down while on my toes? thanks

I would say keep working on pushups on your knees. Its better to get the full range of motion. If your really determined to do them on your toes then being able to go partially down is a good start. Your muscles should adapt over time and get stronger with the stress your puting on it. Try doing them on your toes but do them in a isometric form (without moving): slightly bend your elbows like you have been doing but stay in a fixed position instead of trying to go down all the way. Hold as long as possible.
