    1,000 ml = 1 l

    If the technician is using 200 ml/hr, then he's going to use (200 X 24) ml/day which is 4,800 ml

    Since we need the answer in Liters, you divide:

    4,800 / 1,000 = 4.8

    You will need 5 bags of D5RL, which are I L each

    Your problem: 200 mL / hr = x*L / 24 hrs

    You know that 1000 mL = 1 L

    Get rid of your units by multiplying both sides by 24 hrs:

    24 hrs x 200 mL / hr = x*L / 24 hrs x 24 hrs

    24 x 200 mL = x*L

    Now convert your mL to L:

    24 x .200 L = x*L

    Now solve for x:

    4.8L = x*L

    x = 4.8

    BUT DON'T BE FOOLED: x = 4.8, therefore the nurse needs 5 whole one-liter bags to make it for 24 hours.

    200ML for 1H

    24H x 200ML = 4800ML (total ML per day)

    1L = 1000ML

    4800ML / 1000ML = 4.8 (1L bags)

    You will need 5 x 1L bags for 24H D5RL use in 200ML/1H rate.
