My child will not walk on surfaces that change color?

Like carpet that has a pattern like in a hotel or floors like in malls that have different color tile? She gets real scared what could this be? We were thinking color blind what do you think?

Exactly the the opposite of color blind. Her vision sounds very good.

Have you ever been dizzy and tried to look at those kinds of surfaces? They can create optical illusions of things that are not there - like drop-offs.

I can recall once trying to navigate the carpeted stairway of a fancy hotel. The carpeting was patterned in a such a way that you could not identify where each step ended. I stumbled a few times and watched others do the same.

Have your child practice her walking on a plain carpet or floor.
