Looking for a musical term?
For the first movement of an orchestral work, I'm looking for a term that means "with restrained urgency". "Agitato", at least on its own, connotes too much agitation and no restraint.
Does anyone know of a suitable word/phrase?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks to both of you.
I had used Google Translate, but since I don't speak Italian outside of musical terms, I thought I'd ask here to make sure I didn't use a word that I thought conveyed a particular shade of meaning but didn't.

Agitato non troppo
Agitated, but not too much.
Or hell, just put "With restrained urgency" I tend to use English in most of my score directions. Mahler wasn't too worried about finding the Italian equivalent of what he was saying either.

Agitato non troppo (agitated but not too much) or deciso (with determination).
