Can't help but wonder, what's the point?

I'm in high school, and I work my butt of in school. I'm in a few honors classes, I get straight A's, and I'm under constant stress over school. But then I stop to wonder, what the heck is the point of all this?

Get into a good college? Ok, so I get into a good college, and get good grades there, then what? Find a job that I don't like? Get married, have kids? And....will any of that make me happy?

I can't help but constantly question why I try so hard at everything, when there is no guarantee that anything I ever do or achieve will bring me happiness. I don't think I have ever met a genuinely happy adult.

So, I guess my question is....what is the point of life and how can one be happy?

Sorry if I'm ranting.

I think about that a lot too. I have great friends, good grades, and potential. But I can't help but wonder why I do what I do. What's the point? Do I even matter?

What I've found is that you need something to keep you going. Something to be passionate about. And that's what you live for. My life revolves around my friends, music, and writing/reading. Every crazy thing that my friends do keep me going. New music in class and seeing a song in a different way keeps me going. And pouring my heart out into writing keeps me going.

The point of my life is to wait for those special moments when you KNOW that you've done good. Like when you cheer a friend up and they turn to you, smile, and say "Thanks. You're a true friend." Live, Laugh, Love.

The point of life is to give more than you take, as my history teacher says. Or to make the world a better place for other people to live in, as I say. Find your passion(s) and live every day doing something you love.

Also, don't think too much about the future. Live in the moment because it's all you have to be concerned with.

I've resigned to assume that there might not be any point...
