Why am I losing weight?

I'm 18, 5'5" and normally 120 pounds, which I think was weight for me. I recently dropped down to 115, which I don't like like. It's too close to being underweight and I feel it's too thin for me.

I recently cut out all junk food. I have a feeling that that has something to do with it... but I didn't know that it would make me lose weight.

What's going on? How can I gain the weight back?

I'm a relatively healthy person. I'm not sick. Totally disease free.

I think a few of you are missing the point. I stopped eating junk food because I hate how it makes me feel after I eat it. I do want to be healthy.

    Cutting junk food is the first thing people do when they want to lose weight. So yes, that probably has something to do with it.

    If you want to gain that weight back, you should try adding more carbs (potatoes, wholemeal bread, cereal, pasta, rice) and "good" fats to your diet - fatty fish and vegetable oils. For a list of healthy foods that can help you gain weight, go here:

    because you stopped eating junk foods

    changing your diet to only healthy foods is the best thing you can do and will ensure you will lose weight if combine with walking everyday especially.

    you can eat how much you like if you stay within these 3 guidelines and still lose fat naturally and gradually. You should lose 10lbs each month on average.

    1.eat only steamed lean meats, eggs, healthy fruits ,vegetables, nuts, grains, & yogurt..2. drink only water, juice, & milk..3. walk or do some physical exercise 1-3 hour every day.

    (btw, recommend you also to buy an electronic food steamer ((Very cheap)) and a rice cooker as makes it very easy to prepare healthy meals ,,add a bit of olive oil and pepper, spices on top of steamed vegeatables, fish or chicken to add more taste if wish as these are healthy too.)

    well yeah cutting out junk food would obviously make you lose weight. If you want to gain it back, become a couch potatoe and munch on some chips, chocolate, and drink LOTS of coke :) mcdonals would help 2 aha

    cutting out the junk food has made you drop the weight. increase your calories with healthy foods, or have a couple of snacks. nuts, fruit, whole grain bread, don't worry too much about it. you have done something really good for your health by dropping junk food. it will come back, your body is just adjusting.

    if you cur junk food the slow processing high fructose corn syrup will work out your body. same reason that if people just stop drinking soda they can lose 10-20 pounds without anything else.

    always have vegetables on hand saute a big bag of frozen mixed vegetables in olive oil and garlic add some red pepper or turmeric for additional flavor and separate into portion sized containers for the fridge
