  • Topping for chicken mushroom quesadillas?

I'm making chicken mushroom quesadillas (sauteing the mushrooms, pan frying/shredding the chicken, and adding a roasted garlic mozzarella cheese).

Typically the quesadillas I make seem more Mexican, so I pair them with salsa and guacamole. These ones don't. Would salsa/guacamole work with them, or should I go with something else?

    Thanks!

  • I'm sick... what do I have?

I had a mild sore throat for 5 days, then it went away 3 days. Last Tuesday, I had an upset stomach, then developed a dry cough, then started feeling feverish toward the evening (I don't own a thermometer, so I wasn't able to check) and having all over body-aches. I thought it would clear up in a few days.

Fast forward to today. It's worse. I'm struggling to get out of bed. My nose is runny. Sore throat is back, but it's nothing I can't handle. My cough isn't dry anymore, I can feel mucous in my throat, but am unable to cough anything up. Coughing is painful. I feel dizzy when I try to stand/sit up and am constantly nauseous. I don't think I have a fever, but I'm cold. My boyfriend struggled to warm me up this morning. The only way I could warm up was sitting in a scalding hot shower for 30 minutes.

The weirdest thing is that my face has no color. My skin is super ashy. Not being out of bed, I've been having a crime show marathon the past few days, and I swear some of the corpses have more color than I do, which is scary.

My body hurts. I feel like I got hit by a truck.

I've already missed a bunch of class, and can't afford to miss more this week, but this doesn't show any signs of clearing up by Monday.

I don't have health insurance and can't really afford to go to the clinic.

Any ideas what this is? It seems way worse than the colds I've had before. What can I do to get better?

  • Where can I find these boots for cheaper?

I've been looking EVERYWHERE for black lace up ankle boots and finally found them: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/steve-madden-troopa-bo...

Problem is, I'm so not going to pay $100 for a pair of shoes.

Where can I find them cheaper?

  • Archery arm guards: forearm vs. whole arm?

I have one similar to this: http://www.shopatron.com/products/productdetail/Ma...

It just covers my forearm. But quite a few times, the string's hit the bare skin inside of my arm just below the elbow, and it HURTS and leaves welts. I know I need to get better at like twisting my elbow so it isn't in the path of the string, but I'm still a beginner, so I've been concentrating on my form and anchor point more.

I'm considering getting an arm guard that comes up to my upper arm, something like: http://www.shopatron.com/products/productdetail/Ma...

I'm just wondering, would that having a full length one affect my form/shooting at all? I'm thinking that's probably a dumb question, but it seems like have an arm guard that covers your elbow might hinder the shot in some way.

So, is getting a longer arm guard worth it? Or should I just put up with the welts until I get the elbow twisting down?

And if it matters, I'm just shooting targets, not hunting at all.

    *Thanks!*

  • What color streak should I get put in my hair?

I have medium brown hair. The ends are more of a golden brown (lightened from being in the sun a lot). Occasionally when I'm in the sun, my hair has a reddish tint to it, so I guess you could say it has red/gold undertones? And if it matters, I have brown eyes that look hazel in certain lights, and I'm kinda pale.

Anywho, I feeling kinda rebellious and want to make a change (don't worry, I'm 19, so I don't need my parent's permission). I do have the colored hair extensions from Hot Topic (http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Accessories/HairA... ) but I think it'd be fun to have an actual real color streak in my hair.

Now I'm just trying to figure out what color. I do want it to be noticable, but not overly so. I don't exactly have the personality of the person that one would typically expect to have colored streaks in their hair (yes, I know, I'm stereotyping horribly right there. Sorry about that. I tend to be more quiet and studious, and don't go out of my way to get noticed often).

I want a single streak on the underside of my hair. Color suggestions?

    *Thanks!*

  • Quick, easy recipes that a college student can make?

I want to start cooking dinners more for me/my friends. Problems: I don't have huge amounts of free time, I'm on a limited budget, and I'm surrounded by picky eaters.

What are some EASY recipes that can be made cheaply that look impressive? I have access to a stove/oven. And I can cook rather well. I just fail at coming up with these sort of recipes.

Pasta or chicken dishes would be ideal, but honestly, anything works.

  • What cheeses can I substitute in this Macaroni and Cheese recipe?

I really want to make homemade macaroni and cheese. I was having the hardest time finding a suitable recipe, but I like this one: http://www.bonappetit.com/recipes/2007/09/cheesemo...

Problem though. I'm a broke college student. I'm not even sure if my local grocery stores have Gruyère or Brie cheeses, let alone if I can afford them. Plus, the people I'm cooking for have the tendency to be picky and I'm not sure how they'd react to foreign-sounding cheeses.

Are there any easier-to-find, cheaper cheeses that I can substitute, without compromising the recipe?

If not, are there any other similar recipes you recommend?

    *Thanks!*

  • What's going on with my hair? Can't get it clean and lots of dandruff... Help!?

I have mid-back length hair that's really fine. I normally consider it to be pretty healthy (not many split ends, not much breakage, etc.). I don't use ANY hair products. I don't use a curling iron/straightener. I blow dry it maybe once every two weeks. And I use a natural shampoo and conditioner.

I've always had to wash my hair pretty much everyday. Sometimes I could get away with every other day. It gets dirty looking pretty quickly so it's just something I did. I used to have a problem with dandruff but the past year it's been pretty much gone.

The past month my hair has been completely ridiculous! It gets dirty looking a few hours after I wash it. It's like I can't get my hair clean. And I have to shampoo it AT LEAST twice in the shower. Just shampooing once still leaves it feeling oily. And ha, forget washing it every other day. It's horrible looking! And there's so much dandruff.

I hadn't changed shampoo/conditioner, so I don't know why my hair started doing this. And I tried switching, and it made it worse.

Help! What's going on with my hair and how can I fix it??

  • How much tulle do I need to make a tutu?

I want a tutu that has a similar shape/length as this one:

    http://www.starcostumes.com/lgimages/FW121124.jpg

I'm dressing up as a ballerina for Halloween and I'm trying to make as much of my costume as I can.

    I'm 5'5" and a size 2.

I don't want one of the tutus were the tulle is tied around the elastic waistband. I remember when I was younger, my mom made me one where the tulle was sewed onto the elastic.

How many yards of tulle will I need?

  • What online game is this?

There's like two blob things on either side, and you're one of the blobs and you have to bounce a dot/ball thing back and forth. It's very volleyball like.

Sorry I can't be more descriptive!

  • What top would I wear with this skirt?

The skirt I have is similar to this one: http://ny-image0.etsy.com/il_570xN.232036252.jpg except it has crocheted lace around the top and only comes to mid-calf. It's cream colored.

I'm having trouble figuring out what top to wear with it. I know that the skirt is rather hippie-ish, but I don't want to go all out with the top and have the outfit be super hippie. So any ideas?

    *Thanks!*

  • How should I redecorate my living room?

I'm tired of how my living room looks and I finally have the chance to redecorate it.

Problem is, I can't repaint the walls (I live in an apartment), so I'm stuck with the basic off-white. And I can't do anything to the dining room table (my mom is rather attached to it), so I'd like to work the new decor around it (it's a light natural wood colored top with white legs).

I was thinking a cranberry/chocolate/cream color scheme, but I'm open to any ideas.

Any ideas of how I can redecorate? I want the living room to look a lot different, but without spending a huge amount of money.

    Thanks!

  • Professor said I didn't take my final, not returning calls.... help!?

I took my final and handed it to the professor. A week later, I check my grade and she had failed me, saying that I didn't take the final. I've called her multiple times (and left messages), emailed her and even stopped by her office and left a note. At this point, she's ignoring me. What do I do now?

  • What's your favorite parody of Rebecca Black's "Friday"?

I'm not a fan of the original, but I have to admit there's been a lot of amazing parodies. What's your favorite?

Mine is probably Stephen Colbert's version:

  • Why am I losing weight?

I'm 18, 5'5" and normally 120 pounds, which I think was weight for me. I recently dropped down to 115, which I don't like like. It's too close to being underweight and I feel it's too thin for me.

I recently cut out all junk food. I have a feeling that that has something to do with it... but I didn't know that it would make me lose weight.

What's going on? How can I gain the weight back?

    *Thanks!*
