2001 Lincoln LS multi question?
i have a 01 LS with the V8 3.9 the car has 85,000 on it. i have a few problems going on if you can help me with any i would be happy. ill start with the question that worries me the most i have noticed that if im in drive with my foot on the brake sitting on a decline like a driveway and i go to give it gas it only revs and then after a second once the car levels out it kicks a bit hard into 1st i don't understand it and it only happens when im waiting on a steep driveway. there is no tans dip stick so i cant check the levels is it low or maybe needing a flash? my next problem is that i can hear this sound in park or drive or what ever gear its very faint sound like if someone were to blow through a bendy ribbed straw its the only way i know how to describe it..next my windshield whippers seem to only have one speed and when i turn them off they will keep going for a little while and then stop in any position..well that's about it lol damn car, i like it but it can be a real headache. if i can get any input i would be happy
and yes i can see that i worded this poorly and misspelled some stuff im a dummy

It sounds like you have vacuum leaks, and yes, you should have a transmission dip stick, you need to find it or replace it, look for the tube. Likely, a trans tune up is in order. Change fluid, replace filter and adjust bands. The vacuum modulator on the trans can cause hard shifting if bad or losing vacuum, but not likely. The sound you hear I suspect is a vacuum leak, and the description of your windshield wipers I suspect is also vacuum related. Let's start with these.

I would get the transmission looked at before its too late a fluid and filter change may save it but it sounds like it is starting to slip and this is not good, if you get it looked at soon you might be able to save that transmission, the noise in park sounds like the transmission pump or front bearing might be making noise another sign to get it looked at. You are in tune with your car and it is giving you warnings that it is needing service so you know what to do.
Take it to the shop.
As for the wipers it sounds like they need a new switch or wiper motor control this can cost anywhere from about 100 bucks to about 250 just in parts and hope a local parts store can get it because if you have to go to ford break out the wallet man.
