hu? I am missing something;
Per "US Energy Information Administration" the USA is getting over 300 barrels per day from Iraq.
But if y'all want to be blind to the information, thats cool, just go start wars with yourselves.
I always did think Google was way better at search stuff than Yahoo.

You're right about Iraqi Oil. The Chinese and the French have that pretty well sewn up.

Iraq? Iraq was G.W. Bush's Idea, that didn't come from this administration. The oil in Iraq wasn't fought for in order to allow the Americans to utilize it, it was targeted for power, Bush having over-thrown Hussein wasn't looking to recover the oil for the citizens of the U.S. and therefore give them a break on the price. He was looking for power, when your rich and have had everything your hearts desired given to you at no cost to yourself, what's left? He said it himself, when he was president of the U.S. his biggest enjoyment was being Commander in Chief of the U.S. Remember how he used to puff his little chest out and pride himself on being announced as the Commander in Chief of the U.S.? Have you ever asked the question...'Where does Britain Get it's Oil From'? Hhuummm.....it imports it's oil from Russia and the Middle East, they also mine it from Scotland. If you google it, you'll find alot of the info. comes back to this site, but there is a blurb in,'The Telegraph', and I quote from a man by the name of Ed Conway, that Britain is slashing it's reliance of oil from the Middle East and is now relying on crude from of all places, the Americas, could that be us? Also they are getting it from Norway and Africa. So, just because it's called BP, and we are led to believe that means it's made in Britain, doesn't mean it was actually made in Britain, it's just sold by them. Kinda like going to the Dollar store, and finding that they didn't make any of the stuff your buying, it's all made in China. So, did we get a war for oil you ask. If we were trying to get oil by going into Libya, and the British are in charge of the oil platforms, we are going to be sadly disappointed in the take of oil from that resource, until they import it, we have invaded this oil tycoon, only to find out he's dried up and wrinkled. No good to us, in the purpose your implying.

Its not for oil, we are not occupying Libya and are not taking over their oil production.
