Back porch reflectin, written by our dear friend, Dallas:
It's a wind chime morning
with a steaming cup of tea.
Sunrise brought an West to East, heated breeze
teased Bamboo into a melody of sorts.
A test of will or just a thrill?
It entranced, caused me to want to dance.
The rocker, squeaky, older than I
added to the abstraction
in some awkward sense of harmony.
Responding I reacted, setting the cup
and rising, stretching
I reflected,
saying "Thank you."

I sat on my back porch, likewise
checking each star
I saw one streaking
naked through the atmosphere
a brilliant burst of wanton pleasure
and beside me was an old mangy hound
she called him ... does anyone remember?
and we cried together
miles apart
her on her porch there
in a rickety rocking chair
I in my swing
as the sun rose
I could hear birds singing
and our spirits were
united in an atmospheric
tear

"This one caused me Tissue time"
To you I offer my heartfelt thanks
to Nancy, "You brought her to higher ranks"
To all, I can only ask
bonk her head, take her to task.
I won't brag on her too long
as others will dismiss her effigy
but while she breathes she will stay strong.
