I wouldn't name anyone of any colour Coco. Calling someone with brown skin Coco seems a bit degrading - like calling them Sambo or Darky. And it seems silly on a fair-skinned person.

But really it just doesn't sound right - all I can think of is Coco the Clown.

Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel's nickname come from her days as a cabaret singer. It is short for "coquette" which was used as slang for a kept woman or a mistress. I don't think that's a suitable name to give a little girl - it's basically like calling her a prostitute.

Reminds me of Coco Chanel. The french fashion designer and founder Chanel the clothing and perfume brand as well as a fashion and feminine inspiration. I feel it is more of a nickname.
