How to heat dim sum at home?

I went to an asian market and bought a bunch of frozen dim sum. (Sticky rice, steam pork buns(fresh, not frozen) and assorted dumplings to be exact). Problem is I got them home and realized that there are no heating instructions. Can anyone offer advice. I have a steamer, I'm just unsure if they are to be thawed or frozen and how long to cook them for?

Any advice?

You can reheat the sticky rice, steam pork buns with microwave oven which is more simple than steaming them. While dumplings are quite tricky, there are different kinds of dumplings, some you can reheat them with microwave oven or steamer, some you can boil them, some you can pan fry them, it depends on what kind of wrappers your dumplings are wrapped. Wheat flour based wrappers can be pan fried or deep fried or boiled. Rice flour based wrappers (semi-transparent ones) can be steamed or microwaved.

    Frozen Dim Sum

Thaw the frozen ones out, put them and the fresh ones in the steamer - then steam for about 10 minutes.

No need to thaw - you can steam them from frozen for about 20 minutes. Fresh ones I would guess about 8 - 10 minutes.

Steam them frozen and serve them in a bowl with soy sauce, a touch of vinegar, and hot sauce.
