Is something like this legal? Is it legal if the video clips are recorded from YouTube?
NOTE: An "animash" has nothing to do with animal abuse. It's simply a mishmash of animated movie clips (like the Lion King) timed to music.

Give full credit to the clips you use and no one will care..
i watched the video by "animashes" i think he/she is referring to clips of animals mashed to together to represent a song.
not crushing little animals.

I didn't look at your video, but if you are referring to videos of horribly killing small animals, that's called cruelty to animals and is illegal. It's also disgusting and I would be very concerned about the people who find it amusing.
