No matter what kind of support in your shoes, if you run a lot or most of the time on concrete, tarmac or a track, as there is no 'give' in the surface they shock ways pas up your body at 90mph. The human ankle can take a lot of punishment but the knee can not.

Run on surfaces such as grass or sand as much as feasible, with light evenings it's easier to go out after school or work.

A specialist running store and any good sports stockist will be able to sell you Sobathane heel cushions that go in your shoe and cuts the shock up to your knees by at least 80%

Decent running shoes should last up to 250 miles of running and when you change your shoes change your heel cushions.

The only other advice I can give you, if you knees continue to hurt, please see your doctor as there might be an underlying problem as different leg lengths and mis balance in your body. A lot of things can be sorted out by the use of orthotics, but your Doc toe wil decide what is best.
