Difficulty concieving and had HSG test on 03/29?

Been trying to concieve for over a year now and had an HSG test on last Monday, 03/29. My husband and I had sex on 03/31, 04/01, and earlier today. Had some pain in my lower right abdomen near my ovaries early this morning and about 30 minutes after sex. About an hour after my last pains I went to the restroom and noticed some spotting when I wiped (tmi) Sorry. Has anyone had the HSG test done before and experience the same thing afterwards? Any possible answers or suggestions are welcomed.

Update:

Correction had test done 3/28 and sex 3/30

Update 2:

I had my hsg done on day 8 of my cycle. I had light bleeding for about a day and half after the procedure and then nothing. well not until now. I was taking 100 mg of clomid but my fertility doc told me not to take it this cycle and see what my body does on its own again. me and my husband have been having plenty of sex and praying. When i first ovulated with the clomid this is kind of how I felt. so we are praying its a succesful ovulation...

I had cramps for about a day and a half and spotting for a few days after.

But, there is evidence that an HSG gives a slight boost to fertility for a little bit after it is performed, so hopefully it helped you! Good luck!

I came across your question because I am scheduled to have an HSG tomorrow. So, obviously I don't know from experience, but I have read that it can be normal to bleed a bit after one. Also, they usually do the test shortly before ovulation. You didn't say where in your cycle you are. I do tend to spot a little when I ovulate and I get ovulation cramping. Are you on medications to help you ovulate? That may be a sign it is working!!

I had bleeding for 4 days after my HSG... not spotting, actual bleeding like a light period (it started really heavy, then tapered off), because the doctor tore my cervix by accident with the tenaculum she used to straighten my cervix. The cramps lasted for about a week for me, along with the back pain. It is normal for some women to have spotting and cramps because of the irritation to the uterus and cervix.
