2,3-Butanedione aka diacetyl
it's not actual butter but it tastes like it. the fumes are actually very toxic and directly breathing the vapors could really damage your lungs
typical movie theatre popcorn is one of the worst fast foods you can possibly buy.

I'm not sure of the chemical composition, but as someone who used to work in a movie theater and serve it, I'd recommend you not eat it.

It is like orange chemicals with vegetable oil and gross stuff. I'm not sure about the names of the chemicals
