kenmore clothes dryer inop.?
the heat and all work ok but the tub won't spin. sounds like it is spinning but isn't. i was cleaning the inside and spinning it by hand and it locked up. little later i tried to manually spin it again and there was a loud pop. sounds good now but no spin. any ideas?

sounds like the belt that turns the drum broke.
I fixed mine myself,you take off the front of the dryer and look.
usually the belt will run around a little pully in the bottom of the dryer,that may have gone bad as well.
You can get replacement parts at an Appliance repair store for around $20.00. The guy at my locol store was nice, and told me exactly how to do it,the kit also comes with step by step directions and pics to follow.
Go on the Kenmore website,and "trouble shoot".
It's easy, I'm not very handy but it saved me a cpl hundred bucks.
